The Blue Ribbon Run, is an annual 5k and 1-mile fun run in Wilmington, NC . The event is dedicated to the cherished memories of Julie M. Brown and Christina Gianoplus. At just 41, both women bravely faced colorectal cancer. The runs mission is twofold: to raise critical funds and awareness for colorectal cancer and to support the vital research through the endowment established in their honor at the UNC-Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
